ABB: Digital solution offering now free of charge
ABB's Robotics and Manufacturing Automation business unit is offering many of its software solutions free of charge from March 27 to December 31, 2020. This will help ABB's customers and partners keep their day-to-day business and production lines running while most of them work from home.
ABB's digital solutions enable companies to remotely manage their production lines and keep installed robot systems running with optimal performance and little human interaction. This allows customers to continue their work and prepare projects for when everyone returns to work. The ABB press information can be found here.
Customers who already have access to these solutions can contact their local ABB representative for advice and assistance. The software solutions provided free of charge include:
ABB Ability™ Connected Services - Condition monitoring and diagnostics
With ABB's Connected Services platform, customers can remotely monitor the condition and performance of individual robots or entire fleets. This prevents unplanned downtime before it occurs.
RobotStudio is ABB's simulation and offline programming software that enables complete digital replication (digital twin) of physical plants or systems. With the offline programming tool, users can create, simulate and test a complete robot installation in a virtual 3D environment without interrupting the actual production line. All features of RobotStudio, including all PowerPacs and CAD converters, Digital Twin and Virtual Reality sessions, are now available for free.
Virtual Technical Support
If technical support is required, ABB offers it virtually via video (via Skype, Zoom or Teams). To access this service, customers can also contact their local ABB contact person.
