Dassault Systèmes Appoints Dominic Kurtaz As Managing Director EuroCentral
The former CEO of 3DEXCITE, the Munich-based subsidiary of the French provider of the 3D EXPERIENCE platform, which emerged from RTT (Realtime Technology), is now the new head of Dassault Systèmes in Central Europe.
He replaces Klaus Löckel, who only took over this position in April 2018. The press release does not tell any background of the change. It does not even mention the name of the predecessor, with whom I had conducted an interview just a few months ago about developments since the start of the pandemic and published on the PLMportal / Die Digitalisierer.
Dominic Kurtaz (source Dassault Sstèmes) joined Dassault Systèmes in 2007. Until 2012, he was responsible for the growth market automotive industry as Director for BeNeLux and EuroNorth, among others. Afterwards he was responsible for the strategic direction of all sales channels, first as Sales Director Europe and then as Global Sales Director for the corporate brand 3DEXCITE. In 2016, he took over as Managing Director at 3DEXCITE, responsible for the further development of the brand, before being appointed CEO of 3DEXCITE in 2018.
In addition to the appointment of Dominic Kurtaz, the sales team in EuroCentral was recently reorganized: Jeroen Buring replaces Uwe Burg, who had led SolidWorks sales for many years, as the new head of the Customer Role Experience Team. Dieter Sauer is now head of the Customer Process Experience Team and Christian Matzen, who recently moved from the ESI Group to Dassault Systèmes, is responsible for the sales activities of the Customer Solution Experience Team.
There is also nothing said about the reasons and strategic intentions behind this reorganization of sales, which may have something to do with the changeover of software sales to cloud and subscription. One can be curious to see how things will continue.
