IBM and fortiss launch center for AI research
IBM and fortiss (Research Institute of the Free State of Bavaria for software-intensive systems and services) found a joint research center for Artificial Intelligence (AI). The goal is to develop reliable and secure AI technologies for business and society. The headquarters of the center will be the IBM Watson IoT Center in Munich.
(photo IBM) More than 50 IBM and fortiss researchers will explore and develop new AI-based software solutions at the collaborative research center to unlock AI's potential for mission-critical IoT (Internet of Things) applications. Particular focus is on: AI-aided assistance systems for transparent decision support, prototyping of new digitalized citizen services as well as the reliable, secure control of autonomous robots, distributed production systems and critical supply infrastructures such as energy and water.
