Conferences and major events, if they take place at all, are going digital. Eplan can already draw on a wealth of experience and good results. For The prostep ivip Symposium, Too, The Motto Now Is: 2020 Better Digital

Until recently, the prostep ivip association had planned and announced that the symposium would now take place on September 2 and 3 instead of the original May date. Unfortunately this plan had to be abandoned. The current official orders have led the organizer to completely renounce this year that speakers and participants meet in person. Instead, the symposium will take place digitally at the same time. The scope has been adjusted, participation is free of charge.

E/E Integration, Cloud PLM And Other News About Siemens Industry Software

At Siemens Digital Industry Software, the annual presentation of new developments for the press and analysts took place digitally worldwide in mid-June. The most important innovations were summarized in press releases on June 16 and 17. They concern the functional enhancements of Mentor Graphics' main product, Capital, and its integration into the Siemens industrial software suite; Teamcenter X as a complete SaaS solution for PLM; the new, AI-based design tool NX Sketch; and a strategic partnership with IBM for Service Lifecycle Management. Siemens And SAP: Integrated Solution For Industry

Nuremberg and Walldorf - A big bang: In a joint press release on July 14, SAP and Siemens announced that they intend to offer an integrated solution for end-to-end product and asset life cycle management. According to the announcement, SAP will offer its customers Siemens Teamcenter as the core for PLM and PDM, while Siemens in turn will offer its customers SAP Intelligent Asset Management and SAP Project and Portfolio Management. Two long-standing, fierce competitors with different application focuses will thus suddenly become providers of the largest industrial software portfolio of all.
